HOLY IRISH DAEMONS!!!

Ogh you get one like this in a long while !

BAND: Elder Druid
ALBUM: Live Loft Sessions

YEAR: Jul 2015
COUNTRY:Belfast, Northern Ireland.

'Oly fucking shit when did I say this about a track I've picked up on the tubes, well constantly. But when I did feel a compulsion to write about it? Right about now. And these guys have tickled me pink; purely out of the aspect of being so damn unique in their sound a.k.a darklord given noise. Though from being the developed world and having a rich background of Irish metal acts preceding and paving the way for these delightful 5. Elder Druid's sound seems to take two distinctive traits from the Stoner Doom landscape in my ear.
High on Fire and Fu Manchu/Kyuss.

Not a bad thing in any regard, the vocal work from  Gregg McDowell's vocals seems to be a very sincere homage to the vocal styling of Matt Pike's guttural warcries from High on Fire and very missing the beats except for the obvious strain before taking a break in mid track. And for a young bloke I have to give credit and advice - (DRINK HONEY AND HOT WATER BEFORE YOU FUCK UP YOUR CORDS! O.O)

What I'm astounded by is the level of dedicated practice and tempered play-styles from the other band members, a reserved sense of calm from both drums and bass delivering a very soft but heavy canvas for the other layers of this crafted track. Rhythm and Lead guitars have patience and timing on their side, never looking to interrupt each other's jamming quality, a polite dance of two distinctive strains blended together.

The solos are simple, but I'll never say that's a bad thing - it's like an introductory piece to each of the members without the lead singer blurting midway and ruining the whole mood. Bass tuning is at that suitable Geezer Butler level of twang it works so well in the backdrop; I couldn't stop head-knocking this beaut.

I hope to see what these guys bring to the table in the future with a fully produced studio album - a lot of potential and a very good sound for live play, they may be young , but they'll entertain the crap out of you! and I'm just glad they're not an alternative metal band :)

SPEED ON YOUNG DEVILS!.

4.5/5 Stars and a munchies pack of KFC.

Scan west along the Indian Ocean

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooohhh My GAWD.

Have I not written anything in a long time, and I profusely apologies for this discretion. Well I'm back with no help from the co-author of our little blog room. Now where was I? Oh yeah

Band: DauD
Origin: IndoFUCKINGnesia
Year: 2015

Nothing gets stoner, doom, sludge, or any of that lovely goodness in a perfect blended stew like this track. And I have to say, this is the only track freely available to sample and listen to without buying the album and a hefty price on the digital market. But hey I can forgive these guys for that, since to make a living with long hair and loving your music in Indonesia is heavily rough and sometimes downright cruel.

On the subject matter of the band and track in question - its pure and simple stoner doom with alot of love and atmosphere tossed into the mix with a energy of passion drawn from the guitar and bass work of  Ridlo Setia Ikhwandia and other guy..... You guys didn't list his name, but either way it fucking works, it so works!! The drums are the background layer to this.... fucking piece of pure demo art. Yes its a fucking demo!!

I'm actually fucking impressed! Anyway credit also must be given to the cover artist who drew this wonderful original art cover for the band (name and credits in bandcamp link)

I hope to hear from DauD in the future, and if they can get a plane ticket to Seychelles please fucking do, you guys had your first foray release and it's a massive atomic blast. Keep at it, and don't lose your edge and don't let the man get you down!

VERDICT?! PAY THE MONEY FOR THIS ALBUM!

Look out! Johnny's Back!

Putting the Booooooooooooosssseeeeeee in Higgs-Boson. Review No. 2

Bose; that's with two dots over the 'o' by the way. Holy shit, we're on another here guys - No.2 of the series and boy it's a doozy.

band: Bose (with double dot over the o)
Album: Ultimate Temple of Doom
Date: March 18th 2015

Hoo boy! Now most of you kids are probably going - "The fuck is this shit?" Well jimbo, shut the fuck up and let me tell you.

Back in 1971 in German.... West Germany; a few krauts decided to create something called Krautrock. Very atmospheric, melodic, and to a point - down right weird music, using the best of their ability with their instrumentations. This shit was some serious academic psychedelia, with a thesis in fucking your mind.

Now to give credit to Bose, they freely admit all their music is purely based on running jam-sessions. Which surprises me to no end! Jam sessions are masks of chaos and occasionally the guitarist tweaking his string (fuck that asshole, we making music!) But Bose is something different; it feels like a real mellow psychedelic album. Their tempo structure and timing oddly harmonized (with witchcraft no less >.>) The players taking their roles with a serious professionalism that can be found with a band that has long history playing together; which Bose has a lot of (im counting 23 or 24 releases on their bandcamp :P). Then again, to capture a spirit of experimentation that harks back to the early 70s with rock n roll.

These Poles from the steppes and .... whatever Poland calls it, really do their style proud and justice. However it may not be the cup of tea of everyone in the room, but people looking for a band to otherwise tingle their creative senses with an edge of atmospheric loving care. Please feel free to check them out.

My personal rating, its a solid 3 and half out of these guys, purely - purely; I want to see what happens when these guys write songs and really hanker down to make what could be a god-awesome stoner doom album to rival Dopesmoker (big words) .

Bose, keep it up - you're cosmic element in the universe. the Booooooooooosssssseeeeee in Higgs-Boson.

Vinyl Vs. CDs collecting Seychelles. - Dat or get digital download or sumfing.

Some of you have jobs; I have a job and you have a job, but what is value and reward of work. Money. Yes, greenbacks, redbacks, motherfucking orangebacks. Motherfucking money to make you happy and rich.

But fuck being rich, spend it - and like all good metal, rock, something, fuck it, headbangers. It's time to build a collection, a collection to rival that twat down the street with his own shitty collection. Fuck that guy.

But to be serious; many find it daunting to get all the latest good shit, and being in Seychelles makes it a factor 10-times harder. So these are my tips to help you guys out;

Step 1 - a bank card that works; right now Barclays bank may be bullshit - but it's the only one that is not fucktard stupid with international purchasing unlike MCB and Nouvobanq.... (really guys?)

Step 2 - Once obtaining said bank card, PAYPAL - yes PAYPAL.

Step 3 - Weeebbssssiiitteeeesss *Smacking your head*; yes there are good mediums to getting Music transported to you; but a breakdown.
Digital downloads - 'Bandcamp'; a lovely creation where newer bands can give you digital, or physical products with payment through paypal

Amazon, serious they can do music and movies, but not video games. fucking retards.

Follow the bands - if you love a band, you sometimes check up on them, they do indicate when a new LP or EP / or Split will be coming out in release, and with a very very useful link
Followed closely by online metal/rock magazines and their reviews.

Now for the crunch of this conversation with you, lopsided at best. Your choice of collection; luckily there is good news. There is nothing better than the other outright, if you choose CDs or Vinyl records.

Both are relatively cheap these days to get from bands - since vinyl has seen a resurgence for collectors, and pressing machines are frequent with their expert craftsmen at the helm. The abundance of records being produced has dropped their prices down.

But in the context of Seychelles Vinyl has one superb quality, the environment cannot damage vinyl, salt air, and sea breezes cant ruin it like electronics or CDs, particular the old ones which were hyper-venerable to non-temperate climates.

Not to say that CDs are worse; since their technology has vastly improved with tempered coatings and sealing agents used on them these days.

But vinyl have proven one thing, if they can last 70 years plus with a bit of crackling goodness then go ahead, get em! You have to physically SCRATCH the vinyl in order to make them useless. Just like a CD.

I hope this has a nice incitement article  with less swearing.

Oh here's some music you whores. \

Shitposting Pt. 1

Nuff' said

New Beginnings and Sick Riffs

Hello all!

How are ya'll doing? Generally good? Generally poor? Or for most apathetic to your current situation? That's okay because life's a real hard wanker, especially when it wanks in your face.

So why am I here you may ask? When that's quite simple and obvious to boot; facebook is a crock of shit filled with apathetic posts, bullshit, and worse spam of the glory days of Yahoo Search Engine. And more important religious old fucks who have a lot of fucking time on their hands, (I exercise my swearing and opinions under my constitutional right to expression).

The deal with Headbanger's Haven?

This is a community of Seychellois headbangers - i.e. those nutters who listen to heavy metal and hard rock most of the time.

However there are a lot of subsets of Rock and Metal to circulate around and navigate through. So don't be daunted by the different things you'll see and chill out. The first point of this blog is push the local metal scene and give it review and a fan-base.

As well exposing the community to the varying styles and mediums of our little tripped-up culture.

But let's start with the basics;

shall we?
